The Process of Marketing Biodiesel from Used Vegetable Oil

The process of making biodiesel from used vegetable oil differs from fresh oil in procedure and product because used oil has a lot of free fatty acid and contaminant. The purpose of this study is to find the suitable method and testing its properties such as viscosity, pH, color and odor. It was found that the properties of Biodiesel from reaction are in standard. The other purpose of this study is to find the method for glycerol separation from waste. It was found that proper method is separation by their different physical properties. The testing results show that solid particle is separated by filtration and methanol is separated by distillation. Glycerol that still in waste is a viscous fluid and will be a solid when it is cooled.
